Snow Removal Damaged Mail Boxes |
Whenever two or more inches of
snow accumulates on the roads, a snow emergency is declared. When a snow emergency
is declared:
Any vehicle which is in violation of this ordinance is subject to fines, tickets and/or towing and all related expenses. Depositing of snow on any street or alley is prohibited. Also prohibited is depositing of snow so as to obstruct public sidewalks, neighboring parkways or other private properties. Go to top
Damaged Mail BoxesMailboxes that are damaged in the process of the snow removal operation will be repaired only if the face of the mail box is six (6) inches or more behind the back of the curb and the mailbox and/or post was hit by the snow removal equipment. Damage done to a mailbox by snow being discharged from the plow or placement of a mailbox too close to the curb will be the responsibility of the home owner.
