Due to damage to the Baumann Park Bathrooms they will be closed until futher notice. 

Rock River Disposal will begin picking up yard waste starting April 2, 2024. 

An unlimited amount of yard waste will be picked up every week from April 2nd through November 26, 2024. Please place yard waste in brown yard waste bags or 33 gallon trash cans marked with a large "X" to indicate yard waste. 

 Branches need to be bundled in 4' sections.

Residential Electrical Aggregation Update

The Village of Cherry Valley adopted an ordinance regulating burning within the Village limits.

 The ordinance reads as follows:

       Section 9-3 Burning Waste Prohibited.

It shall be unlawful for any person to burn yard refuse, garbage, or miscellaneous waste within the Village of Cherry Valley.

Residents shall, however, be permitted to burn yard refuse on their own property and not in any public

right-of-way between sunrise and sunset on the last two (2) Saturdays and Sundays of October and the first two (2)

Saturdays and Sundays of November. All fires must be completely extinguished and not smoldering after sunset and

before sunrise.

Rock River Disposal Observes the following Hoilidays:

  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • 4th of July
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

*New Years Day will not effect gargbage pick up. Village Residents will have their garbage picked up on Tuesday January 3, 2023.*

This means that if the holiday falls on a weekday, on or before your scheduled collection, service will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the holiday week.  If the holiday falls on Sunday, it will be observed on Monday and service will be delayed one day the entire week.
