The Village of Cherry Valley has no higher priority than protecting the health and safety of our employees and ensuring we have the staff, and capability to provide uninterrupted safe drinking water to our customers. With this in mind the Village of Cherry Valley will be implementing the following actions beginning Monday, March 16, 2020:

  • Suspend all water shut-offs except in emergency situations.
  • Suspend all non-emergency customer service visits.
  • Encourage customers to utilize online bill payment or drop off in the green box in front of the Cherry Valley Village Hall.

We want our customers to know that their water is safe to drink. The Village of Cherry Valley complies with all applicable regulations and treatment requirements. The COVID-19 virus has not been detected in drinking water supplies and according the Environmental Protection Agency the risk to water supplies is low.


Effective immediately, all Village of Cherry Valley Park Bathrooms, Playgrounds and Pavilions, are closed to the public to help stem the spread of COVID-19, this includes Baumann Park, Butler Park, Fisher Park, and Penfield Park until further notice. The Walking Path is still open. 

 Effective Immediately, all village offices are closed to the general public. This includes the Cherry Valley Police Department and the Administration Department located at 806 E. State Street and the Public Works Facility located at 7407 Vandiver Road. Public access will be available by appointment only and on a case-by-case basis in order to address critical and time sensitive business.


We will continue to closely monitor COVID-19 and will implement additional precautions as the situation dictates.
